QUALITY HIGH WELFARE MEAT
Aberdeen Angus Beef from our herd in Little Chesterton
Well matured and marbled, it is superbly tender and flavoursome
Situated just on the outskirts of Bicester, our farm at Little Chesterton has been in the family for over 60 years. We breed Pedigree Charollais and Blue Texel Sheep (from which the shop name originates). Charollais sheep are renowned for their quality carcase and easy lambing.
Blue Texels were first recognised and recorded in Holland in the early 1970’s, they are easier to lamb than the more extreme white texels. We lamb twice a year – early December and then again in March.
Our sows are principally Saddlebacks and Gloucester Old Spots which we cross with a Piertrain Boar. The cows in our Suckler herd run with an Aberdeen Angus Bull.
