The Blue Texel Farm Shop and Butchers is based in the Village of Launton, close to Bicester, we are family owned and run.

We understand the importance of provenance and on our full traditional Butchers counter you will find meat from our farm in nearby Little Chesterton where we rear outdoor pork, top quality lamb from our pedigree flocks and beef from our own suckler herd, so you can be assured of a very high quality product that is literately from our Farm to your Fork.

Whether it is a tasty joint for your Sunday Roast or Burgers and Bangers for your Summer BBQ we offer a whole range of services including  BBQ and Hog Roast hire.

In our Farm Shop you will find a well stocked deli and a wide variety of accompaniments for your meat or recipes.

Chris Hawes

Chris juggles his day between the Farm and the Butchers.


The Master Butcher, Colin boasts of over 40 years experience having started his career in Bicester at the tender age of 9 at C Lane with Brian Windman. He then started working on a Saturday at 16 with Peter Goss and spent the next 32 years perfecting his skills before moving over to The Blue Texel in Launton where he could continue to use his Master Butcher skills.
